FAQ
Questions parents often ask
If your question isn't here, call or message the clinic — no question is too small.
What is a paediatric surgeon?
A paediatric surgeon is a surgeon with additional super-speciality training (M.Ch.) in operating on newborns, infants, children and adolescents. Children are not small adults — their anatomy, anaesthesia needs and recovery are different.
At what age can my child have surgery?
Even newborns can safely undergo surgery when needed. The right timing depends on the condition; some are best treated in infancy while others can wait.
What should I bring to the first consultation?
Your child's previous prescriptions, any scan or blood reports, immunisation card and a list of your questions.
Is keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery available for children?
Yes. Many paediatric procedures are performed laparoscopically or thoracoscopically, which means smaller scars, less pain and a faster recovery.
Will my child be admitted overnight?
Many common procedures are done as day care, so your child goes home the same day. Longer stays are planned in advance where required.
How do I book an appointment?
Use the Book Appointment form on this website, call the clinic, or send a WhatsApp message. The clinic team will confirm your slot.
Can a parent stay with the child?
Yes, a parent can accompany the child up to the operating room area and is with the child in the ward before and after surgery.
